Forest Shack visually really cool, but the controls are very odd and hard to wrestle with.

I agree the controls would benefit from an extended tutorial, you would have hated with a passion the earlier iterations of the tutorial to use them.
It's why I made the initial area particularly easy and with the same few enemies, even giving the player extra time to press the prompts so they get used to them.
